THE TRACKS

A living journey of discovering, inhabiting, and sharing your Inner Village.

Introduction

At the heart of my work is the exploration of the Inner Village, the many different parts of ourselves, their relationships, qualities, needs and possibilities.

There isn’t one fixed route through this work.

Some people are drawn to exploring themselves through play and group experience. Others want to understand their inner world more deeply through one-to-one work. Some eventually feel called to facilitate the practice for others.

These different paths support one another. You can begin where you are, follow what comes alive, and let your experience guide what comes next.

PLAYER'S TRACK

Explore your Inner Village through embodied group practice.

A journey from discovering and befriending your different parts towards greater freedom of expression, creativity, play and relationship.

Through weekends, retreats and ongoing practice, you gradually develop a deeper relationship with the different parts that live within you—learning to meet yourself, others and life with increasing presence, playfulness and authenticity.

VOICE DIALOGUE TRACK

Deepen your understanding through one-to-one exploration.

Voice Dialogue is an established practice for meeting and differentiating the different selves within us, listening to their perspectives and developing a more conscious relationship with them. It offers a pathway for both personal exploration and professional development.

FACILITATION TRACK

Learn to hold this work for others.

For those who feel called to facilitate, this track grows from lived experience, personal exploration and an established foundation in Voice Dialogue. It supports the development of awareness, sensitivity and practical skills for accompanying others through embodied Inner Village exploration.

The Player’s Track

The Player’s Track is where most people begin.

It offers a gradual journey into discovering, inhabiting and expressing your Inner Village through embodied group experiences.

Some people stay here for years. Others naturally branch into Voice Dialogue or Facilitation. There is no right pace or destination—only the invitation to keep deepening your relationship with yourself and others.

The Main Path

The Main Path offers a gradual journey from learning to recognise and relate to our inner parts towards greater embodied expression, creativity, play and relationship.

Each level builds on the previous one, supporting a deeper relationship with your Inner Village, yourself, and others. While each workshop has its own focus, together they form a coherent developmental journey.

Level 1 — Discover your Inner Village

Two-day experiential workshop

This weekend offers the foundations for exploring your Inner Village through practical, embodied exercises rooted in Voice Dialogue and the Psychology of Selves.

We begin by slowing down, arriving in our bodies, noticing our needs and discovering different ways to tend to them.

From there, we learn to recognise different parts of ourselves, give them a voice and an embodied place, and explore how to step into and out of their experience.

We also learn to excavate and constellate inner resources, discover a more centred position from which to relate to our parts, and begin practising how to guide and witness one another with curiosity and care.

As these foundations become more familiar, there is room for greater spontaneity, expression and play.

The intention is to offer a supportive framework that participants can gradually make their own and continue exploring in everyday life.

Level 2 — The Feast of Resources

Five-day retreat.

Having discovered your Inner Village, this retreat focuses on expanding and embodying the many inner resources available within it.

Through immersive practice you deepen your relationship with qualities such as strength, tenderness, playfulness, courage, clarity and creativity, allowing them to become more available in everyday life.

Level 3 — Constellation

 Five-day retreat.

Your Inner Village becomes visible as a living ecosystem.

Through embodied constellation, participants temporarily embody different aspects of one another’s inner world, making inner dynamics tangible and relational.

This opens new perspectives, deepens self-understanding and allows hidden patterns to become more visible through direct experience.

Level 4 — Group Play

Five-day retreat.

The focus expands from your individual Inner Village towards the intelligence of the group.

Together we explore collective play, emergence, collaboration and belonging, discovering how individual expression becomes richer when it is held within relationship.

Level 5 — Relating Play

 Five-day retreat.

The journey culminates in relationship itself.

Here we explore intimacy, projection, boundaries, conflict, attraction and connection as living expressions of the Inner Village.

Relationship becomes a place of practice, revealing new possibilities for authenticity, playfulness and love.

The Side Path

Alongside the Main Path are shorter retreats, collaborations and themed weekends that explore particular aspects of Inner Village exploration, embodied expression and play.

These experiences are generally for people who have completed Discover Your Inner Village Level 1 or the equivalent introductory workshop previously offered as Fool Expression. They are not separate from the journey, but opportunities to deepen specific qualities, revisit the practice, and explore new territories.

Current Side Path offerings include:

• Synergetic Playground (annual retreat)
• Play Weekends
• Seasonal and experimental workshops

Each offers a different doorway into the practice while remaining connected to the wider Player’s Track.

The Voice Dialogue Track

Voice Dialogue and the Psychology of Selves, developed by Hal and Sidra Stone, form an important foundation of my Inner Village work.

Voice Dialogue is a practice in its own right. It offers a way of meeting the different selves within us, giving them space to express their perspectives, and developing greater awareness of how they influence our lives.

Through this exploration, we begin to recognise the difference between being identified with a particular part and developing a relationship with it, supporting the development of the Aware Ego Process.

It offers language and structure to what is being experienced, and supports a more precise way of meeting the dynamics of the inner world.
Some people come into this work for their own personal development, to better understand how they function, how their patterns are formed, and how different parts of them relate to each other.
Others feel a desire to bring this understanding into their professional work.
This training is often taken alongside an existing path in counselling, therapy, coaching, or another form of holding space.
It is not a therapy training in itself, but a way of deepening and supporting an existing practice.

The Facilitaton Track

For those who feel called to facilitate this work, there is a facilitation track for people who have already completed the Player’s Track and at least two years of the Voice Dialogue training.

This is a space for learning how to guide embodied Inner Village exploration within a group, drawing on the foundations of Voice Dialogue, lived experience, resourcing, witnessing, expression and play.

I share the way I have developed and held this work over the years, while supporting each person to discover their own way of facilitating, with attention to consent, differentiation, individual needs and the responsibilities involved in holding a group.

The Inner Village is a living and evolving approach, informed by Voice Dialogue and my development of Fool Expression. The facilitation journey honours these foundations while making room for each person’s own qualities and way of working.

Fool Expression is a living practice that continues to evolve, and this track reflects that. It is not about learning a fixed method, but about developing the capacity to meet what is happening, and to allow the work to take shape through you.

There is no fixed way to move through these tracks. Some people stay in one, some move between them, and some feel a clear call to go further. You do not need to decide everything at once. You can begin where you are, and allow your experience to guide what comes next.

From here, you can explore further or get in touch.
