Workshop Booking & Cancellation Terms

These terms apply to Discover Your Inner Village workshops organised by Christie Animas.

I understand that circumstances can change, and I aim to approach cancellations with fairness and consideration, while also recognising the financial commitments involved in organising small-group workshops.

 

Booking and payment

Your place is confirmed once your booking and payment, or an agreed deposit, have been received.

If you book by paying a deposit, the remaining balance is due by the date stated on the workshop booking page.

Payment plans can be arranged by agreement before booking. Please contact me if you’d like to discuss this.

 

 

If you need to cancel

If you need to cancel your place, please let me know by email as soon as possible.

More than 14 days before the workshop

If you cancel more than 14 days before the workshop begins, payments above the agreed deposit may be transferred towards another Christie Animas workshop taking place within the following five months.

Any amount retained or charged in connection with a cancellation will be limited to what is fair and reasonable in the circumstances, taking account of costs already incurred, any losses caused by the cancellation and whether the place can be filled.

Within 14 days of the workshop

If you cancel within 14 days of the workshop, a transfer or refund cannot be guaranteed, as venue costs and other commitments may already have been made.

Please contact me as soon as possible. I will consider the circumstances, including whether your place can be filled, and aim to find a fair solution.

You will not be charged more than a fair and reasonable amount for losses arising from the cancellation.

 

 

Deposits

Deposits help me cover the advance commitments involved in organising a workshop.

Where a deposit is described as non-refundable, this is subject to your statutory consumer rights and the requirement that any amount retained is fair and proportionate.

Please get in touch if you have questions about the deposit or need to cancel your booking.

 

 

If I need to cancel or postpone a workshop

Occasionally, circumstances beyond my control may mean that a workshop cannot go ahead as planned.

If I cancel a workshop, you will be offered a full refund of your workshop payment.

If a workshop is postponed or substantially changed, you will have the choice of transferring your booking to the rearranged event or receiving a refund.

I recommend considering suitable travel and accommodation arrangements, as I cannot ordinarily reimburse independently booked travel or accommodation costs, except where required by law.

 

 

Changes to your circumstances

If illness, an emergency or another unexpected situation prevents you from attending, please contact me as soon as possible.

Although I cannot promise a refund or transfer in every situation, I am happy to discuss what might be possible and will take your circumstances into consideration.

 

 

Participation and personal responsibility

Discover Your Inner Village is an experiential workshop involving body awareness, guided parts exploration, voice, movement and group interaction.

You are encouraged to participate at your own pace, remain attentive to your needs and take breaks whenever necessary.

There is no expectation to take part in every exercise or share experiences you would prefer to keep private.

The workshop is an opportunity for personal exploration and experiential learning. It is not a substitute for individual mental-health assessment, crisis support or medical treatment.

If you are uncertain whether the workshop is appropriate for your current circumstances, you are welcome to contact me before booking.

 

 

Confidentiality and respect

The workshop involves personal sharing and exploration in a group setting.

Everyone is asked to respect the privacy of others and not share identifying details or personal experiences outside the group without permission.

While I will encourage confidentiality and respectful participation, I cannot guarantee the actions of every participant.

Photography, audio recording or video recording of other participants is not permitted without their explicit consent.
